John chapter nine describes the healing of a blind man. And it becomes so much more than that. This moment of healing is the reminder that blindness is not just a physical experience. It is an emotional experience. It is a mental experience. It is a spiritual experiences. And yet, He says in response to the disciples about the man that was born blind: "But this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him" John 9:3.

Questions:
How has depression and anxiety become a blindness in your own life?
What needs healing? Physical blindness? Emotional blindness? Mental blindness? Spiritual blindness?
Would you be recognized by others if you were healed from your blindness?
How could your blindness be used to display the works of God? What has it led you to do that could glorify Him?
Prayer:
Heavenly father your son healed a blind man on the sabbath. Your son took this as an opportunity to glorify you. This led to a man becoming a believer. Lord, though the man's parents were fearful of the leadership, this man continued to reflect the one who heals. Your son heals. May He heal those who are blind from whatever blinds them. May He heal those who are seeking His way. Lord may the healing of the blindness of others lead to them becoming believers, whether again, for the first time, or stronger. Lord may you guide those who need it, to find the healing. A healing that comes from you. A healing that comes from your son. In his name. Amen.
