“Weekly reflections and guidance to support and restore.”
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Two Eighteen Weekly! Each week, I’ll share thoughts from the week, mental health tips, scripture reflection, upcoming events, and resources to explore. If anything here resonates with you, one of the best ways to show support is to share it with someone else and encourage them to subscribe to He is for Me.
Let's get started!
💭 Thoughts from This Week
Housewife to the Lord. This last week was a slow week for me at work and I found myself doing a lot around the house. Cleaning windows inside and out, catching up on laundry, grocery shopping, spending time with the dogs while the weather was still tolerable, and cooking (in my opinion) some fantastic dinners. While there were moments that I grumbled about it, I was reminded at some point that in this season of my life I am a housewife to the Lord. I am called to take care of the home, working diligently for Him, an active member of my community, and nourishing myself and others in more ways than one. What started out as a painful jab at myself for being in this season of life, became a humbling moment to reflect on my stewardship to God. I'll take the stewardship over the pain any day of the week.
🧠 Mental Health Tip
Lately I've been winding down the day with the television off, cup of hot tea, side table lamp on, overhead lights off, and a good book. Highly recommend fine tuning your evening routine, especially with the time change just around the corner. 📖 Scripture to Reflect On
"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise." - James 5:13
When suffering where do you first turn?
When cheerful where do you first turn?
