Two Eighteen Weekly: 12/20/25

“Weekly reflections and guidance to support and restore.”

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Two Eighteen Weekly! Each week, I’ll share thoughts from the week, mental health tips, scripture reflection, upcoming events, and resources to explore. If anything here resonates with you, one of the best ways to show support is to share it with someone else and encourage them to subscribe to He is for Me.

Let's get started!

💭 Thoughts from This Week

First and foremost, my apologies for the lack of posts the last couple of weeks. I had a lot of life updates and time got away from me. Thank you always, for your grace and mercy as I run a household, private practice, and community engagements. With all that said. Thoughts for this week are ADVENT. The coming of something good. And what a joyous experience that we get to celebrate the anniversary of the first advent, Jesus' birth. And each year we anticipate the second advent, Jesus' return. Advent is a time of reflection, slowing down, getting things in order, and preparing our hearts. It is nice that it comes this time of year too, for us in the Northern Hemisphere, the season change creates almost this hibernation moment. Which is so symbolic of what this time of year can be. Not only are we preparing for the birth of Jesus, we also prepare for the renewing of a calendar year. For some this is just a flip of the calendar. For others, this is a reflection and renewing of the mind for the next year. Whatever it is for you, I pray that this hibernation, advent, and season is more than you imagined.

🧠 Mental Health Tip

During the holiday season there is a rush to get things done, buy that present, do that activity, and so forth. My mental health tip is related to Advent. Slow down this season. Enjoy what is in front of you. Reflect on what is behind you. Prepare yourself for what is before you. Consider journaling each night as you prepare for the end of the year. Find or create a cozy corner, turn off the noise and screens, make a cup of hot cocoa or tea, and melt into the present moment. Allow God to meet you there, and speak to you about His hopes for your year end, and your year beginning. 📖 Scripture to Reflect On

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

How true this verse is now as we reflect on the year behind us, and the year ahead of us. Especially during a season of Advent. It can be so easy to get caught up in the pressures and ideas of the world, but set your mind and thoughts on the things that are good, pure, and true. Renew your mind to reflect the image bearer that you are!
